Many tennis fans have been curious to discover whether tennis star Stefanos Tsitipas is single or dating someone. However, the World No.5 put an end to all the doubts and speculations by thanking his girlfriend in Melbourne, after beating Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open early in the year.
At the end of the match against Nadal, Tsitsipas dedicated the win to his girlfriend, Theodora, as he signed the camera, “TP, that’s for you!”
As reported by several platforms, Tsitsipas and his girlfriend, Theodora Petalas have been dating for just over a year. In the summer of 2020, the couple were spotted in Mikonos, spending their time on jet skis and soaking up the sun.
Petalas was also seen at the recently concluded Barcelona Open, where she was cheering for her boyfriend in the finals against Nadal.
Did Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari date each other?
Greece tennis player Maria Sakkari and Stefanos Tsitsipas have often been rumoured to be dating each other since January 2019. They even paired up at the Hopman Cup tournament in Perth.
In one of the matches, Tsitsipas was captured kissing Sakkari on her cheek. Since then, the rumour gained further momentum. Maria, however, has refuted these rumors in an interview.
Maria said that they are only friends and she admired Stefanos’ game a lot. However, she also mentioned that nobody knows what might happen in the future.
Maria and Stefanos have known each other since they were kids. This is not surprising since both their mothers are friends with each other, having known each other since they were teenagers.
The two tennis players have also been spotted attending various public events and have also been active together on Instagram.
