The Netflix documentary series based on the tennis sport “Break Point” is the talk of the town. This docuseries archives the lives of both active and retired tennis players in a series of episodes. The fans for the first time got a chance to take a closer look at the lives of the tennis players.

The US Open 2019 champion Bianca Andreescu too got inspired by watching the documentary series. In her latest podcast, the popular talked about the impact the show had on her.

American sports broadcaster Tennis Channel shared the views of Bianca Andreescu on social media.

“Maybe for me, since I am on tour it was like a relatable thing,” the caption read.

“I didn’t really understand the backlash that it got. I thought it was incredible even though I’m on Tour. Some people were saying, if you’re a crazy tennis fan or you’re on Tour, it’s not that good. It’s kind of slow and boring, but I thought the total opposite. I think it gives great insight on what’s going on on Tour,” said Andreescu.

Bianca Andreescu is trying to find her place after being in and out of tennis tournaments for a long-time. She returned to the sport in 2022 and is making giant inroads into the 2023 season.

The 22-year-old Canadian impressed everyone when she became the first Canadian to win a Grand Slam title in 2019, i.e. the US Open. She also reached her career’s highest ranking as World No.4 in the WTA rankings in the same year. However, soon her career took a downward spiral and her struggle with form and fitness began.

Bianca Andreescu missed the majority of the 2020 season due to a knee injury and the impact of COVID-19 on the tennis calendar. She thought made a comeback of sorts in the 2021 season, but her run with disappointing performances continued. She finished that year as World No.46 in the singles rankings.

She again missed the first few months of tennis action in the 2022 season because of an injury but could not impress anyone with her performances. The 2023 season could be her breakthrough year. She started her season well by playing in the Adelaide International 1 tournament. She beat two-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza in the first round before succumbing to Veronika Kudermetova in the second round of the tournament.

At the Australian Open, she beat Marie Bouzkova in the first round, but could not win against Cristina Bucsa in the second round of the competition and was knocked out. She subsequently participated in the Hua Hin Championships and reached the semi-final round of the competition. But her inspired run could not help her win against Lesio Tsurenko. She is currently in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to participate in the Abu Dhabi Open 2023.
