Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz
Novak Djokovic began the season on a positive note by winning the Adelaide International 1 tournament and the Australian Open men’s singles title. He also maintained a 15-match winning streak this season which snapped in Dubai where he lost to Daniil Medvedev in the semi-final round. However, in the first couple of months of the year, the Serb showed his class and prowess.
In one of his interviews, he had also acknowledged that when gives his 100%, he is the best. When this question was tossed to Carlos Alcaraz on the sidelines of the Miami Open, for his opinions, he had only praise for the 22-time Grand Slam champion. But he also added that he first need to play against Novak Djokovic to find it out.
“Well, is tough one, but, I mean, I have to play against Novak, you know, he 100%, I would say in Madrid he played really, really well. So it was close. But, I mean, I’m agree with him. When he’s 100%, probably he’s one of or the best player in the world,” he said.
“So I don’t know how to say about that question, but what Novak has achieved, the level of Novak for example in Australia was unbelievable, really high. So as I said before, I really want to play against Novak when he’s 100% and I’m sure I’m going to enjoy. So that’s all I can say right now,”he continued.
Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz reached the Quarter-final round of the Miami Open and will face Taylor Fritz.

Who will win in the Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz clash?
Tennis fans were hoping that the two players will face each other early in the season. But earlier an injury led Carlos Alcaraz to sit out from the first Grand Slam of the season. However, when he returned to court, Novak Djokovic was disallowed to play in the Sunshine Doubles. The Federal Government declined his application for an exemption against Covid-19 double vaccination mandate and he had to miss out on the opportunity to play in these ATP 1000 tournaments.
As the clay swing of the season will start shortly, tennis fans are hoping that the top ranked players do get a chance to play against each other and test each other limits.
