Former World No 1 Serena Williams is one of the greatest female athletes who played a crucial role in popularizing women’s tennis. She has left millions inspired in her career that lasted nearly three decades with her numerous accolades and achievements, especially with her 23 singles Grand Slam titles, the most by a player in the Open Era.

She retired from professional tennis in the month of September with US Open being the final tournament of her career. Williams announced her retirement from the competitive sport through an article published in the leading magazine Vogue. She is one of the few tennis players who has won each Grand Slam title a minimum of three times.

The firm has made investments in more than 60 startups ranging from wellness to healthcare to technology and many more areas of interest.

Recently, the 7-time Wimbledon champion made a huge investment of $12M in one of the leading online healthcare platforms, Juno Medical. The investment is co-partnered with NEXT VENTURES in a series of funding to expand the healthcare facilities to an inclusive home model. Serena Williams shared the news on her Instagram account by sharing a story with the message “Inspire, ignite and excel“.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner had admitted in her retirement announcement to spend quality time with her family and 5-year-old daughter that she had been missed a lot during her prime years of playing. She is making the most of her time post-retirement attending various events ranging from fashion to movies to sports. Serena Williams has been exploring all those fun-filled activities for which she did not have time before, due to her professional commitments.

She has even talked in detail about many things ranging from her tennis to life post-retirement. One of the main topics of discussion has been regarding her cheat day schedule. The former 7-time Australian Open champion stated that it is not only restricted to her diet but also about her entire routine change for a particular day that happens once in a while. She admitted that she likes to rest the whole day and be at home, unlike all the other days.

Despite not playing enough matches, she still remains to be in the list of highest-paid female athletes. She earned a whopping $35 million in 2022 and is just behind 4-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka, who earned $52 million in 2022. Adding to her achievements record, she is placed third in the list of Most Searched athletes on Google in 2022.
