Former World No 1 Serena Williams has played a major role in popularizing women’s tennis as she retired from the sport with her career lasting for more than two decades. She got married to Alexis Ohanian, one of the most successful entrepreneurs in America in the year 2017. Ohanian turned on his romantic side as he shared a sweet glimpse of their first dance as man and wife.
She has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles in her career, the most by a player in the Open Era. She played her final tournament at the US Open, the place where she won her first singles major title. Serena Williams announced her retirement from the competitive sport through an article published in the leading magazine Vogue. She is one of the few tennis players who has won each Grand Slam title a minimum of three times.
Serena Williams and Ohanian are quite famous in their respective fields and their marriage has made them more popular as a couple. The tennis legend went down her memory lane to recall about their first dance and called it quite romantic. The founder of Seven Seven Six went ahead to share glimpses of their intimate dance as they completed their 5th wedding anniversary in the month of November 2022.

She has always faced criticism for having a strong build and has even faced racist remarks over the course of her career. After her retirement, she has been attending events ranging from fashion to sports, and movie premiers. During one of the interviews, she spoke on the loneliness that accompanied her as world no.1 and what her life is like post-retirement. She admitted that the feeling of being left alone is not acknowledged by everybody and the challenges that a player faces as sometimes, it invades their privacy.
She is now enjoying life off the court and fulfilling desires that she couldn’t fulfill during her time she was on the Tour. After retiring at the end of the 2022 US Open, Serena Williams is now fully focused on spending time with her family and especially her daughter Olympia. Despite not playing many tournaments on the Tour, she has managed to feature in the list of most searched athletes in Google in 2022 and stands in third place after Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.
