Jannik Sinner is an Italian professional tennis player. His current ranking according to the Association of Tennis Professionals is World No.10 and his highest ranking was World No.9. Jannik has five singles career titles to his name. Apart from this the player also has one doubles title.

Sinner participated in the ATP Cup this year and defeated Roman Safiullin in the third group stage with a score of 7-6, 6-3. In the second group stage, he defeated Arthur Rinderknech and Max Purcell in the first group stage.

Currently, Jannik is competing in the Australian Open 2022. He has qualified for the fourth and will be playing against Alex De Minaur on 24th January 2022. In the third round, he won against Taro Daniel with a score of 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, 6-1. In the second round, he defeated Steve Johnson with the score 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 and in the opening round he won against Joao Sousa with the score 6-4, 8-5, 6-1.

In the recent interview with Eurosport Jannik Sinner expressed his views on tennis legend John McEnroe. He said how he would like to be coached by the legend along with his current coach Riccardo Piatti.

John McEnroe is a former American tennis player. His highest ranking was World No.1. The legend won 77 career titles in his time out of which seven are Grand Slams. While Riccardo Piatti is an Italian tennis coach. In his coaching career he coached many tennis star ranked within top 10 including Novak Djokovic. He is currently coaching Jannik Sinner.

“When John speaks, of course, he is a tennis legend. He has won many tournaments, he was a great player. Yes, I would like to be coached by him. Let’s see what comes out,” Sinner on McEnroe.
