Max Verstappen, the two-time F1 World Champion, has won the 2022 International Racing Driver of the Year award.
Max Verstappen did an amazing 2022 F1 season with the Red Bull team, and for that, he has been recognized by fans, as this year’s International Racing Driver of the Year at the Autosports awards.
The fans voted in huge numbers in favor of Max Verstappen ahead of the many competitors, and as a result of this, his presence at the ceremony was greeted by honoring him with the award.
The Dutchman fully deserves his most recent accolade as during this year’s F1 campaign, he absolutely bashed his competition and racked up an unprecedented 15 Grand Prix wins.
The 25-year-old was chosen as the winner ahead of Charles Leclerc, IndyCar Champion Will Power, and, Formula E Champion, Stoffel Vandoorne.
He was announced as the winner of the award at last night’s 2022 Autosport Awards.

Max Verstappen has had a season to remember, this year, at the pinnacle of motor racing and after receiving the International Racing Driver of the Year Award last night, he has shown his gratitude toward the fans.
While addressing his fans, Verstappen added, “Thank you to all the fans who voted for me for the second time in a row, coming alongside my second world title in a row.”
“After a tricky start to the year it was a real team effort to turn it around. All the hard work of the team, including some people sitting with you at the awards tonight, all deserve a big thank you.“
“Have a good night and see you on the track in 2023.”

The prolific Max Verstappen is pleased after winning his second consecutive International Racing Driver of the Year award and is looking forward to next year’s campaign.
Considering how easily he was able to dominate his competition during this year’s campaign, his fans are going to expect much of the same in 2023.
