“You don’t really wanna be here,” 30-year-old WWE star names Roman Reigns as his dream opponent, takes a shot at those who think otherwise
A former NXT Champion is eyeing a dream showdown with Roman Reigns down the line as he heaps the latter with tons of acclaim.

What Roman Reigns means to WWE doesn’t need to be stressed more. He’s been the company’s poster boy for a number of years now. Most of his counterparts think likewise, including Trick Williams. The former NXT Champion recently joined Chris Van Vliet on his ‘Insight’ podcast. Williams was asked about his dream opponent in WWE, and he named Roman.
The Anointed One spoke highly of Reigns, calling the latter the cornerstone of this business. Trick didn’t miss out on giving Cody Rhodes his flowers, as he’s the one who ended Roman’s 1316-day Undisputed WWE Universal title reign at WrestleMania XL. The 30-year-old said he’s glad that Cody finished his story and is already in the midst of a new one.
However, Williams couldn’t resist and kept hailing Reigns as the top guy in the biz right now. Trick wasn’t done there. Instead, he even aimed a subtle dig at those in WWE who don’t want to cross paths with The OTC. Because if that’s the case, one doesn’t really want to be in the company, claimed the current NXT star.
On the CW premiere of the Shawn Michaels-led brand, Trick Williams will try to wrestle away the gold from Ethan Page. What’s even more intriguing is that this contest will have a special guest referee on hand. And his name is CM Punk. Earlier this year, at NXT Spring Breakin’, the South Carolina native beat Ilja Dragunov to capture his maiden NXT title.
However, a few months later at NXT Heatwave, the 2023 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner ended up losing the championship belt to Page in a Fatal 4-Way also including Je’Von Evans and Shawn Spears.
Roman Reigns returns to his roots in Atlanta to battle The Bloodline
Having last competed at WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns is set for an in-ring return this Saturday. He’ll have Cody Rhodes by his side to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. It has some fans wondering if the erstwhile Tribal Chief is about to get pinned at Bad Blood.
Rhodes has already eaten a pinfall loss at this year’s Money in the Bank when Solo did it to conclude the six-man tag team match. Roman told Cody during their intense faceoff two weeks ago, he’s got nothing to lose.
But then the Undisputed Champion hit back, saying if he couldn’t even beat The Bloodline, how would he reclaim the top spot in WWE? Outside of that, there’s an ongoing discourse among the fans over whether this star-studded affair should main event the PLE or not.
