Jorge Masvidal wants a trilogy fight against Kamaru Usman

Jorge Masvidal still wants a piece of Kamaru Usman. The number 7 ranked UFC welterweight recently answered several fan questions on Twitter during his free time, and it looks like The Nigerian is still in his nightmares. Having already lost twice against Usman, Masvidal once again expressed his desire to fight him.
When asked by a fan, “If you could fight any current fighter in any weight class who would it be and why?”, Masvidal replied, “Usman.” The welterweight champ, Usman is currently set for a rematch against Colby Covington at UFC 268 in November, later this year.
Kamaru Usman beat Jorge Masvidal twice fair and square!
Jorge Masvidal first faced Usman at UFC 251, after the former stepped in on short notice, since the original opponent Gilbert Burns pulled out from the fight. The bout took place on the 12th of July in 2020, and Usman won the contest via. unanimous decision, and also successfully defended his welterweight title.
The pair met again 9 months later, on the 24th of April, 2021 at UFC 261. In the meantime, Usman had beaten Burns at UFC 258, defending his welterweight title successfully another time. The highly-anticipated rematch saw Usman demolish Masvidal in only the second round of the fight with a brutal punch. It also turned out to be Masvidal’s first knockout loss in the UFC.
Masvidal is currently without a fight in the UFC. However, the veteran recently started his own fighting promotion – Bare Knuckle Gamebred Fighting Championship. He was also involved in a recent Twitter war with Gilbert Burns.
