“I liked how Cristiano Ronaldo looked more” – Khabib Nurmagomedov unhappy with the way Mike Tyson presented himself in his podcast recently

Mike Tyson, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Cristiano Ronaldo

Khabib Nurmagomedov was the guest in one of the recent episodes of Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ Podcast. The podcast co-hosted by former two-division champion Henry Cejudo features several guests, mostly people from the combat sports community. Now that, Khabib is relieved of his fight pressures (since he has retired), he has been actively travelling the world – being a promoter, coach, footballer and whatnot.

The recent episode with Khabib Nurmagomedov as the guest was a big hit, however, Khabib wasn’t a big fan of how Mike Tyson presented himself. At least that is what the Dagestani told in a recent media day interaction with RT Sport. As the name Hotboxin’ very well suggests the use of marijuana, Tyson was in his usual element. However, he was higher than ever, hardly getting himself involved in the discussion. It was Cejudo who was doing most of the talking.

Khabib told RT Sport that he didn’t like it since he wasn’t a fan of smoking. He then went on to mention Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who is considered to be the fittest athlete on the planet, as someone he looked up to.

“Overall I didn’t like the way he looked” – Khabib Nurmagomedov on Mike Tyson

Khabib was quoted as saying, “No, he didn’t look through me. Overall, I didn’t like the way he looked…We were at his ranch where he hosts his podcasts. I asked him that there’d be no smoking around me but I wasn’t a fan. I liked how Cristiano Ronaldo looked more. He looked like an athlete.”

Khabib known for his super-religious persona, has often spoken against the consumption of alcohol, marijuana and recreational drugs. Tyson hasn’t responded to the same. But, it looks like Khabib might never appear again in Tyson’s Hotboxin’ Podcast.

And as for his reference of Cristiano Ronaldo, Khabib has always been a fan of the Juventus main man. He has very often vocally expressed how much he admires the Portuguese ace’s dedication to the sport.

The only tipping point in Khabib’s recent accusation is the fact that Ronaldo is an active athlete, still at the top of his game, whereas, Tyson, on the other hand, retired from the sport almost 17 years ago. He is 55 now, 19 years older than CR7 who is 36. And, Tyson still looks fitter and meaner than most of the 55-year-olds.

To each his own. What are your thoughts on the same?
