Controversial mixed martial arts instructor, James Krause is currently under suspension due to questionable betting practices. Recently, Krause reappeared on social media and boasted about his $5 million debt and how he’s using it to his benefit.
The MMA specialist has now turned financial coach and has shared his valuable lessons with the public. In a long Facebook post, Krause talked about how he’s in a total of $5 million in debt. The former UFC fighter revealed that people should use debt for their profit, similar to big corporations and countries.
I’m in over 5 million dollars of debt and don’t lose a second of sleep over it....Once I learned how debt worked it changed my life. If they keep printing money then why wouldn’t you use debt? If the people running the country are using debt, and the largest companies in the world are using debt then why wouldn’t you?James Krause via Facebook post
The Nevada Athletic Commission in December of 2022, suspended James Krause for allegedly being involved in a betting and match-fixing scandal. An investigation was carried out after fans saw unnatural betting trends on the internet. This happened before the fight between Shayilan Nuerdanbieke and Darrick Minner at UFC Vegas 64. Minner ultimately lost the fight via TKO but the betting odds in different books were significantly changed throughout the fight. At the end of the fight, Minner, who is a student of Krause, was an underdog.
Krause’s coaching license was suspended as he was suspected of leaking information about Minner’s Injury. Further investigations revealed James Krause’s past job as a betting agent in a sportsbook. Krause used to place bets on behalf of others and knew the business from the inside out.
Dana White issues warning after James Krause’s suspension over match-fixing scandal
After the Nevada Athletic Commission banned James Krause for his betting involvement, UFC stepped up. The promotion then took some strict steps, which included introducing guidelines against fighters who actively trained under Krause.
During the whole fiasco, there were several questions and doubts around and when asked about it, Dana White had a strong message. White explained the UFC’s strong guidelines about match-fixing. White revealed people involved will get fined and can end up in jail.
I am not worried about it at all. People ask me well, what’s the UFC gonna do? We let these guys know not to bet on fights. Do you know what the outcome of this is? If I penalize them, you get cut. They are gonna go to f***ing federal prison.”Dana White via UFC Press conference
There were many fighters who were affected by James Krause’s suspension. UFC Flyweight Jeff Molina was banned by the NSAC for his alleged involvement with Krause. On the other hand, big names such as Brandon Moreno had to split from Krause, his head coach. The fighter was in the middle of his championship fight camp and went through a lot of trouble.
