Brandon Moreno looking forward to tetralogy fight
After his win at UFC 277, Brandon Moreno confirmed the fourth meeting between him and Deiveson Figueiredo. The Assasin Baby defeated Kai Kara-France at UFC 277 in Dallas to capture the Interim Flyweight Gold. The win has set the stage for the fourth fight between the two. Although, nothing is official till now it would certainly make the most sense to book the two, the fourth time for the title unification bout.
The Assasin Baby and Daico went to war in a close fight that went to a majority draw at UFC 256, back in 2020. In the second fight, The Mexcian defeated the champion by submission in round 3 at UFC 263 to become the first Mexican-born UFC champion. However, in their trilogy fight at UFC 270, Daico snatched the belt back in a very close fight by unanimous decision. They are now 1-1-1 in their three fights in the octagon.
The champion (21-2) had defeated Joseph Benavidez by submission at UFC Fight Night 172 in 2020 for the vacant Flyweight title. Daico then went on to defeat Alex Perez at UFC 255 by submission in Round 1. The Brazilian was then matched up with the Mexican, which led to three amazing fights with each fighter getting one win and a draw.
After dropping his belt in the trilogy at UFC 270, in a close fight with Daico. The Assassin Baby(20-6) was ready to fight Daico for the fourth time. However, due to injury, the champion wasn’t ready to fight. Taking this into consideration the UFC booked an Interim fight between #1 Moreno and #2 Kara-France. The Assasin baby defeated Kara-France in round 3 by TKO at UFC 277 to claim the title.

In an interview given to the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani on YouTube earlier today, the Mexican talks about his win over Kara-France, the fight and the game plan. He also talks about the change of gym, setting an example for his daughter. The Interim Champ further discusses his interaction with the champion inside the octagon after his win at UFC 277 in Dallas, Texas.
When asked about the champion’s current weight, The Assasin Baby expressed his concern about Daico’s ability to make 125lb for their fourth meeting. He stated, “That’s the question man I don’t want to trash talk or whatever but I mean being really honest between us the guy looks very very heavy.”
He further stated, ” I don’t know his weight right now but watching today the interview in the octagon together, I mean he looks a whole different division than me.” The Assasin Baby further told Helwani to ask Daico about the weight, “maybe you can ask him that in the program later.”
