“Don’t want to be a part of slave driven business” – Brendan Schaub thrashed the new ‘Project Rock’ shoe deal

Recently UFC and The Rock closed a shoe deal called ‘Project Rock.’ Project Rock has been announced as the official footwear of UFC. And it kicked in a controversy that is fuming everyone in the UFC and on the internet.
During the launch, The Rock has been found praising the UFC fighters’ dedication and hard work daily. But what brought the controversy is that the fighters won’t be benefited from this endorsement deal. They won’t get paid or get any additional compensation by the new ‘Project Rock’ shoe deal. So many UFC and MMA personalities have spoken up about the matter. Recently, the former mixed martial artist, comedian, and podcast host, Brendan Schaub gave his opinion about the matter in his podcast.

Fans are fuming after the ‘Project Rock’ deal

Just like the MMA pundits and personalities, the fans are not far from thrashing the new shoe deal done by the UFC and The Rock. The new deal seems very ‘one-sided’ as the deal won’t benefit the fighters. The fans seemed so upset just like the fighters after knowing about the deal.
A fan wrote, “Just a reminder the rock sucks… his shoe deal with the ufc is negatively impacting the fighters forced to advertise them.” Another fan wrote, “Huge fan of @therock as a person….but that #UFCshoedeal is pretty wack. I know my opinion doesn’t matter. It’s still wack.” A fan named @SugeW wrote, “I get it’s not your fault or your business doin it to us, but show us the love you think you are. Get in our corner and support us.
@TheRock
Between the Rock and a hard place: the shoe deal hurting UFC fighters.”
It seems there is a revolt on the way regarding this endorsement. Who knows if there is going to be a union among the fighters to fight against this deal? It can affect the promotion hugely.
