Conor McGregor was not really happy watching his biggest rival’s protege, Islam Makhachev become the new undisputed lightweight champion at UFC 280.

Islam Makhachev stunned the world as he pulled off an amazing submission against the best submission artist in history, Charles Oliveira. Pros and fans alike were stunned at Dagestani’s performance and praised him for delivering as promised. However, Conor McGregor wasn’t too pleased with the outcome of UFC 280.

In the entire lead-up to the fight, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Islam Makhachev promised to make the late Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov’s dreams come true and they did. McGregor in a deleted reaction tweet to Makhachev’s victory wrote a scathing tweet on the Dagestani team and Khabib in specific. “I have the system to hurt this style of fighting guys I am telling you,” said McGregor in his tweet.

“Bro is a sh*t jocks. Fat mouth shut your mouth you done nothing tonight except go against fathers wishes and run. It’s not fathers plan completed yet, pal. You know. Your people know and they talk about you,” wrote McGregor in a deleted tweet.

McGregor has never really come to terms with his gruesome defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov back in 2018 at UFC 229. The Irish superstar lost to “The Eagle” via brutal submission defeat in the fourth round. The Notorious One has been caught several times discrediting his rival’s achievements in the sport.

When Conor McGregor made a distasteful comment on Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov’s death

McGregor, despite his evil intentions towards the former lightweight champ, Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Irishman has shown respect to his father at different moments of his career. When Abdulmanap passed away, The Notorious One put aside his rivalry against The Eagle and shared his condolences. However, that tweet has been deleted after the Irishman recently made a distasteful comment about the late Nurmagomedov.

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov passed away in 2020 due to COVID-19 which eventually pushed Khabib Nurmagomedov into retirement. The Notorious One made a sick tweet about the virus taking away Khabib’s father’s life. Following the tweet, McGregor went back in time and also deleted his tweet of condolences.

In his past tweet McGregor had written, “The loss of a father, a coach, and a dedicated supporter of the sport. Condolences and rest in peace Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.” The Notorious One was dragged all over MMA Twitter for his distasteful comments.
