“Phenomenal President” – Conor McGregor once had strong words of appreciation for Donald Trump
Often known for his trash-talking, Conor McGregor has stayed true to his Notorious image. While many have been on the receiving end of his verbal attacks, the Irishman once heaped praise on former US President Donald Trump.
In 2020, Donald Trump marked Martin Luther King Day by tweeting about his achievements as the leader of the nation. In a reply to his since deleted tweet, McGregor labeled Trump as the GOAT.
Praising the former US President, ‘The Notorious’ wrote, “Phenomenal President. Quite possibly the USA(GOAT). Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet. Early stages of term also. Incredible. Congrats and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day America.”
This appreciation McGregor showed towards the American business magnate was contrary to what he thought of Trump in 2015. In fact, the Irishman had launched a full blown attack on Donald Trump.

Conor McGregor once backed Ronda Rousey by criticizing Donald Trump
Holly Holm’s knockout of Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 shocked the world. While Rousey’s defeat upset her fans, former President Donald Trump felt otherwise. Labelling Rousey to not be a nice person, Trump was happy she lost her fight.
In a tweet, Trump wrote, “Glad to see that @RondaRousey lost her championship fight last night. Was soundly beaten – not a nice person!” Initially, McGregor was unaware of these harsh comments by Trump towards Rousey. However, once he learned about the same, the Irishman backed the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion.
Speaking about Donald Trump’s comments on Rousey, McGregor said, “It’s easy for someone that’s not in there to comment, but it’s different when you’re in there. The emotions are high… So Donald can shut his big fat mouth. I don’t give a f*ck about Donald Trump.” [H/T MMA Fighting]
