“Baby brain batter shots” – Conor McGregor vows to have “all the tools” to beat new lightweight champion Islam Makhachev

A Conor McGregor tweet after a huge PPV event was bound to happen. As expected, the Notorious One reacted to Islam Makhachev becoming the new lightweight champion at UFC 280 by defeating Charles Oliveira.
The Notorious One has never been on good terms with Team Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Eagle’s protege, Islam Makhachev becoming the new champion of the division was never going to get a positive reaction from the Irishman. McGregor, who apparently paid close attention to Makhachev dismantling the amazing Charles Oliveira at UFC 280 believes he has the tools to stop him.
“Nice fight. Nice performance,” said McGregor in the first few words of his tweet before he went off on the new champion. “I have built all the tools to beat this style now vs b4. Experience Vs [poo emoji]. Face breaking shots from clinch and baby brain batter shots from bottom. And the rest of my repertoire yous know. Steel left leg. Cannon back hand. Wrist control” added McGregor.
The Notorious One got destroyed by Makhachev’s training partner/longtime friend, Khabib Nurmagomedov during their feud in 2018. According to the Irishman, he has evolved his technique since and then claims to be the perfect matchup for a fighter like Makhachev.

Conor McGregor confirms there will be “nothing personal” in the potential fight against Islam Makhachev
McGregor might still not be over his feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov but a potential future fight between the Notorious One against Makhachev from the Dagestan camp will not be personal claims the Irishman. McGregor is confident he has developed his “own system” of fighting to tackle fighters like Makhachev.
“The thought of shutting down this system of fighting with my own developed system is quite intriguing to me. Whoever of them against. It’s not personal. It’s a skill evaluation and a fight. Even thru generations. The imaafs, amateurs. A war of attrition. To the box,” wrote McGregor in his deleted Twitter reaction to UFC 280 main event fight.
McGregor has shown no signs of returning to the octagon and is busy with his Hollywood debut. If the fighter does return to fighting before the end of next year, would you like to see him skip the line and fight Makhachev for the lightweight title?
