“Come to Dagestan” – Khabib Nurmagomedov’s offer to Ciryl Gane in 2022 makes a lot of sense after UFC 285
Khabib had offered to teach Dagestani wrestling to Ciryl Gane in 2022, which he didn't take - and apparently should've taken him up on the offer after seeing his loss.

After Ciryl Gane’s loss to Jon Jones in UFC 285, Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s offer to help Gane in wrestling seems much more helpful now. Gane lost to Jones via submission in the first round itself, maybe that wouldn’t have happened if he had learned wrestling in Dagestan.
When Francis Ngannou was removed from the UFC roster and the heavyweight title was left vacant, it was put on the line for the fight between Gane and Jones. This was supposed to be Jones’ return fight and what a return it was! He won it in the first round via submission against Gane.
With this loss, a video went viral where Khabib was inviting Gane to come to Dagestan to learn wrestling since according to him there is no wrestling in France. He didn’t, but now it seems he should’ve and he maybe would’ve won.

This is all speculation and in hindsight, no one knows if Dagestani wrestling would’ve worked against Jon Jones. But now it is all in the past, Jon Jones is now the heavyweight champion of the world and maybe Ciryl Gane will get a shot at the title again. Only the future can tell what might happen.
Fans react to Khabib inviting Ciryl Gane to learn wrestling

Obviously, in hindsight, it would’ve been better if Ciryl Gane had gone with Khabib to learn the Dagestani style of wrestling. But he didn’t think it was necessary then and maybe it isn’t for his style – fans might never know.
The community thinks that maybe Gane should’ve gone to Dagestan to learn wrestling so that maybe they would’ve gotten to see more of Jones fighting. Apparently to them, he didn’t even pose a threat.

Well, all of this is in the past now, Jon Jones is now the heavyweight champion. Ciryl Gane might get a chance again at the title. But till then, it stays with Jones and the community will have to see how he defends it.
