With Khamzat Chimaev staying quiet after beating Gilburt Burns, he has finally broken his silence on who he wants to fight next – Robert Whittaker. He thinks the fight between them would be fun.

Chimaev after having problems with the weight cut for his welterweight division and looking extremely jacked, fans expected him to return to middleweight. And as a middleweight, he returns. He is looking to make a fight happen between him and Whittaker.

Whittaker was supposed to fight Alex Pereira if Israel Adesanya didn’t want to fight him. But with their fight already announced as the main event, he has remained opponent less since he fought Marvin Vettori. He is looking to get back in the action for a while now. With Khamzat calling him out, rather respectfully, chances are the fight happens.

The fans in the community have reacted quite positively to Khamzat Chimaev calling out Robert Whittaker. They seem to enjoy the match-up, with obvious comments on his weight cut for the welterweight division.

Fans are excited about this potential matchup and also saying that maybe he should just fight someone ranked between 5-15 before fighting someone much much higher than him. But also backed it up by saying that it may be due to only Whittaker being ready to fight him in the division.
