Paulo Costa is one of the most entertaining UFC middleweights on the roster. He, like current middleweight champion, Alex Pereira, hails from Brazil. However, unlike him, Costa is one of the most eccentric and outspoken middleweights on the UFC roster. His shenanigans on Twitter have massively endeared him to a large chunk of MMA fans.
Paulo Costa’s native country, Brazil beat Serbia 2-0 in the FIFA 2022 World Cup. Despite the victory and clean sheet, the match ended up being much more competitive than most had expected. The Eraser was not pleased in spite of the victory as he took to Twitter to make his displeasure with the Brazil national team’s performance known.
Costa’s tweet read, “Brazilian soccer team were respectable when they had drug dealers to make party’s officials and shemale f**ker Like Ronald at 2006 or 2002. Now they all are feminists or apologize for being straight white. They cannot win wolrd cup sorry. Bring old times back.” This was coupled with a collage that had a picture of Brazil legends on the left and current Brazil players on the right.
Paulo Costa’s trolling game seems to be at its peak right now. And considering how passionate the nation of Brazil is about football, it is no surprise that Borrachinha chose to react in his signature style. And who knows, with Costa’s UFC contract set to expire, may a role as a football analyst is on the cards for the Eraser.

Paulo Costa hilariously calls himself Mexican on Twitter

Sometime before Paulo posted that tweet about the Brazil national team, he posted another tweet that seemed to show his annoyance at the matter. In a tweet that made him seem visibly irritated, Paulo said he was in fact, Mexican and not Brazilian.
“Stop asking me to talk about Brazil soccer team I’m Mexican,” read the tweet from Costa. It would seem Paulo Costa was disappointed in the team’s lackluster performance, save for Richarlison’s wonder goal, against Serbia. In a reply to his Tweet, a fan asked Borrachinha, “Thoughts on Brazil futbol team?” To this, Costa promptly replied, “All gays.”
Paulo Costa seems to be in a comical mood despite his contract situation with the UFC being dire. Even with an upcoming fight against Robert Whittaker at UFC 284 already announced, Paulo revealed that he still hadn’t received an offer for that fight from the UFC. However, maybe his nation winning the World Cup after 20 years will lift his spirits.
