Joe Rogan is a jack of many trades, working as a UFC commentator, analyst, and on-screen personality among his own ventures. Those include his career as a standup comedian and host of reality shows, and relatively recently, he became the host of the world’s biggest podcast.
The Joe Rogan Experience is a podcast that plays host to some of the world’s biggest names. This includes everyone from movie stars, authors, journalists, musicians, and even MMA fighters from time to time.
This multitude of guests who range from relatively unknown to global superstars has helped the JRE grow and overtake every other podcast in the world over the last few years. And despite the controversies surrounding Joe Rogan and the podcast itself, it is still going strong.
This week, Spotify released the Spotify Wrapped 2022. It is basically a collection of personalized and global stats related to the performance of the content on the site. And to no one’s surprise, Joe Rogan‘s podcast was the most streamed podcast globally in 2022.
There were some concerns when Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archetypes, overtook the JRE after its release. However, Rogan’s podcast eventually found its way back to the top and is now the most popular podcast of 2022.
The Joe Rogan Experience has had some shocking moments over its 1900+ episodes
Joe Rogan’s podcast, as mentioned before, plays host to some of the world’s most famous and even controversial personalities. And over the course of its run, it has had some very shocking moments. With surprising revelations, conspiracy theories, and hilarious stories, the JRE has had it all.
However, one underrated aspect of the Joe Rogan Experience has always been its host, Joe Rogan, and his conversations with MMA stars. Being employed by the UFC means Joe has easy access to a whole pool of guests from the world of MMA.

And as such, he is able to have on his podcast, several fighters, referees, and other people from the MMA landscape. And over the years, that has produced some of the greatest moments in JRE history.
GSP once talked about how he got abducted by aliens and how he often loses time in the day. Jon Jones once revealed that he partied the weekend before some of his biggest fights so that he could have a built-in excuse if he lost the fight. And John McCarthy also explained how the unified MMA rules make no sense. All these moments would not have been possible without the existence of the Joe Rogan Experience and we are all thankful for it.
