Who would’ve thought Khabib Nurmagomedov was a fan of Bollywood? The legendary UFC fighter names Shah Rukh Khan as his favorite actor.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is a man of many interests. The former UFC lightweight champion is from Dagestan, Russia. The fighter comes from a very rural area and has humble beginnings. If you had asked anyone from India if they’d have thought the UFC legend would be a fan of Bollywood, the answer would have been, “Never in a million years”.

Turns out, “The Eagle” watches movies in his past time and is a massive fan of the Indian movie industry, Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan is a household name in Indian cinema and is one of the most prominent representatives of the country’s movie industry.

In a recent podcast, “The Muslim Money Guys“, Khabib Nurmagomedov sits down to talk for nearly an hour. In the podcast, Nurmagomedov says he is a fan of Bollywood and watches movies from India. “Even like Indian movies, like Bollywood,” said Nurmagomedov.

The podcast could not believe that the Dagestani fighter was aware of Bollywood. “Of course I watch,” said Nurmagomedov putting the host out of his shock. When put on the spot to name his favorite actor, Nurmagomedov immediately went, “Shah Rukh Khan“.

Why Khabib Nurmagomedov hates movies about “Love”?

Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov might be a very eloquent speaker now but the fighter during his early days in the UFC was struggling to keep up with the English language. Before his championship reign, in 2017, Nurmagomedov collaborated with theCHIVE to review Romantic movies and the fighter was unintentionally the funniest person in the room.

The first movie the Dagestani was asked to review was, “When Harry Met Sally”, and Nurmagomedov said, “I don’t give a sh*t about this movie.” When he was asked to guess the plot of the movie “Love Actually”, Nurmagomedov said, “I don’t like watch movie about love. Too much movie make your heart weak,” said The Eagle.
