With Islam Makhachev vs Alexander Volkanovski nearing its D-day, Islam seems to have the Nelk Boys in his camp to keep the mood of the camp high. One of the Nelk boys – CousinJay, fancied his chances against Makhachev, which didn’t come to fruition.

The Nelk Boys are around Makhachev‘s fight camp for the Alexander Volkanovski fight, trying to lighten the mood around the camp. They even emulated Islam’s way of recovery and training, in which they failed miserably. Islam even trolled their weakness for not being able to imitate his work ethic.

Islam Makhachev seems all set for his fight against Volkanovski and is putting in the hours for his camp. Nelk Boys who are there with him in the camp are joining in the training and the workouts. One of the Nelk Boys – CousinJay, caught Islam off guard by saying that he could fight him. As soon as he recovered, Makhachev instantly put him in an armbar and made him tap. A failed attempt from Jay’s side.

It seems Islam, unlike Khabib, is open to trolling and having fun while in a camp – while still not losing his edge. UFC 284 will decide for Islam if he can become the P4P #1 by beating Volkanovski on February 11th.

UFC 284 will decide if Alexander Volkanovski can get the double champ status or if Islam Makhachev becomes pound-for-pound #1. It doesn’t happen very often when the world’s P4P #1 and #2 fight and fans get to watch it.

Islam has his UFC lightweight belt on the line, which he won after beating Charles Oliveira and Volkanovski has his P4P #1 ranking. This fight isn’t about the belts or the ranking, it is mostly about the fighters’ legacy on the line. With both of them on a long winning streak, chances are one of the streaks will end.
