Sushil Kumar arrest: Picture with gangster Kala Jathedi’s brother resurfaces as the two time Olympic medalist faces murder investigation

Indian ace wrestler Sushil Kumar arrest is one of the biggest news in Indian sports. Sushil and his accomplice Ajay Kumar were arrested on Sunday by the Delhi Police for the killing of 23-year-old junior wrestler Sagar Dhankar at the Chhatrasal Stadium during a brawl that occurred over an argument. After absconding for nearly twenty days the wrestler was arrested by Delhi Police from Mundka in West Delhi. Sushil is now in 6-day police custody as the Delhi Police Crime Branch has been investigating the case.
Kumar has been suspended from his post of senior commercial manager at Northern Railways with immediate effect after being arrested. Reports suggest that Sushil has confessed that he only wanted to teach a lesson to the deceased so that no one would mess with him in the future or consider him weak. He added that he had no intentions to murder Sagar Dhankar.

After being in custody for almost a week now, Sushil has yet again found himself in trouble. In a new image that is circulating on social media, Sushil can be seen with dreaded gangster Kala Jathedi’s brother Pradeep. The photo was shared on Facebook, dated December 18, 2018, with the caption “bhaichara @pehalwanji“.

An India Today report claims the person to Sushil’s left in the above photo as gangster Kala Jathedi’s brother Pradeep. Pradeep is said to have escaped overseas with prize money of Rs 7 lakh on his head. The report further claims that the Olympian has advocated for gangster’s kin in front of the Delhi Police earlier. It adds that Kumar even went to Sonipat to help out Kala Jathedi’s brother Pradeep in a case.
The disagreement between Sushil and Sagar Dhankhar, which led to the brawl, was over a flat that belonged to the former World Champion in the Model Town area of Delhi. Sagar used to stay on rent in this flat with a friend named Sonu Mahal, who is hailed as the right-hand of wanted gangster Jathedi.
