WWE has an episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event lined up just a week before Clash in Italy. The company, therefore, confirmed a couple of title matches for its first televised event in Fort Wayne in 12 years. First off, Penta will defend the men’s Intercontinental Championship against ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page.
This comes after Page scored a pinfall victory over Penta last week on Raw in a tag team match. Although Rusev took offense to Page staking a claim for the title shot on this week’s Raw, Page cleverly directed his anger at Je’Von Evans by saying that the ‘Young OG’ told Adam Pearce why Rusev deserves a crack at the IC title when he hasn’t even beaten Evans.

‘The Young OG’ came out and revealed that Page was lying about all that except the fact that Rusev hasn’t beaten Evans yet. They consequently collided in a singles match on Raw that the 22-year-old won in a major victory against a veteran like ‘The Bulgarian Brute’. While WWE has added Penta vs. Page for the IC title at SNME on May 23, it’s expected to pave the way for an inevitable Fatal-4-Way bout at Clash in Italy.
The World Tag Team Titles will be on the line at #SNME when @LoganPaul and @_Theory1 defend against The Street Profits! 😤

The other title match that was made official on Raw for Saturday Night’s Main Event will see Logan Paul and Austin Theory defending the world tag team titles against The Street Profits. On this week’s Raw, Profits and Joe Hendry registered a win over The Vision in a 6-man tag team match after Seth Rollins sneak attacked Bron Breakker at ringside.
It distracted Austin Theory, who got rolled up by Angelo Dawkins. A livid Theory started assaulting Dawkins, but Rollins made the save. ‘The Visionary’ inadvertently pushed Dawkins into a spear from Breakker, who then ate a super kick from Rollins to get dumped to the floor.
While the Vision claimed that they were done with ‘The Architect’ now that Breakker had beaten Rollins at Backlash, it doesn’t look like the case, as Rollins is still not finished with ‘The Unpredictable Badass’. It would be interesting to see if WWE adds Rollins vs. Breakker to Saturday Night’s Main Event with a stipulation tied to their grudge match or not.
Is Asuke done with WWE after this week’s segment on Raw?
Asuka seems to have stepped away from WWE for a long while after what happened on this week’s Raw. After tearing the house down with Iyo Sky at Backlash, she confronted her backstage, and the two hugged it out. ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ told Sky that she was looking for someone to take over her position.

The 44-year-old women’s wrestling icon was glad that Sky was the one who stepped up. ‘The Genius of the Sky’ then said that they’d always be family to each other no matter how much they fight. Sky uttered an emotional goodbye to Asuka, who told Sky that she’d see her later before proceeding to kiss her forehead.

The inaugural women’s Royal Rumble match winner then walked out of the arena with her luggage. It did seem like she was gone for good. Michael Cole said on commentary during Sky’s match with Sol Ruca that Asuka’s WWE future was up in the air. There were rumors of her being semi-retired too.
Asuka will be taking some time off, but is planned for tonight's WWE Raw.

This has been planned for a while and is not related to the recent cuts.

Fightful reported that the Osaka-born wrestler was planned for time off from WWE, and it wasn’t related to her being cut. PWInsider noted in its report before this week’s Raw that Asuka was allegedly returning to Japan to handle a family matter privately. The extent of her hiatus is indefinite but could take longer than usual.
There was a story making the rounds among some in WWE that Asuka was returning to Japan for an extended period to handle a family matter that will not be disclosed. That is not yet confirmed accurate.
