“I’ll be upset”: Former rival is rooting for Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is one of the most dominant Superstars in the professional wrestling industry. She has been a babyface for a major part of her career. But when Lynch returned to WWE after a maternity break, at Summerslam 2021, she had turned Heel. The fans found it really tough to stop themselves from cheering.

Since then WWE has tried literally every trick in the book to get the WWE Universe to boo for Big Time Becks. The biggest victim of these attempts was the EST of WWE Bianca Belair. She was holding the Smackdown Women’s Championship when Lynch had returned at “The Biggest Party of the Summer”.

Becky Lynch immediately challenged Bianca Belair for the title. Accepting the challenge might’ve been the biggest mistake during Belair’s entire reign as the Champion. She was pinned by Lynch in merely 26 seconds and since then, the EST of WWE has remained in pursuit of a title. On the other hand, Lynch has remained a Champion since that night!

Since pinning Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch has been a Champion. But she currently holds the Raw Women’s Championship instead of the Smackdown title due to the WWE Draft. She is all set to put the title on the line against her childhood hero – Hall of Famer Lita at the Elimination Chamber. The EST of WWE, as reported by Give Me Sport mentioned that it would be cool to see Lita as a Champion but she was rooting for Lynch.

“It would be a cool moment to see Lita as champion again, reaping the benefits of all the work she’s sewn for the women’s division. I think she has a great chance. But I can’t lie, I want Becky to win! Only because I want to be the person to take the Title off of her at WrestleMania. I will be upset if I’m not the one,” mentioned Belair.

So far, two matches have been announced for Wrestlemania 38. Universal Championship match (Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar) and Smackdown Women’s Championship match (Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey). Both these matches are expected to be the main events on the two nights. There is a possibility that Lynch and Belair could collide for the Raw Women’s Championship.

For this to happen – a couple of favorable outcomes are required at the Elimination Chamber PPV. First of all, Becky Lynch needs to retain her Raw Women’s Championship against Lita. On the other hand, Bianca Belair needs to win the No.1 Contender’s match for the title, which is set to take place inside the Chamber!
