Without a shadow of a doubt, Steve Austin is one of the substantial professional wrestlers of all-time. His sizable aura and unmatched realism was something which felt dumfounding. What many corporates still dream of sitting inside of a cubicle, Stone Cold will surely go down as the only employee of a company who made a career by beating the hell out of his own boss. His quintessential feud with Vince McMahon back in the Attitude Era was when professional wrestling peaked at.

Outside of dishing out stunners to Mr. McMahon, the Texas Rattlesnake has been a part of various iconic rivalries with the likes of The Rock, The Undertaker, Bret Hart and so many more. In fact, Rock and Austin were the torchbearers of the Attitude Era in WWE and their eminent differences at the time were something which gave us great memories to ponder.

Austin had to give up on wrestling a little early than expected. Several neck injures halted his momentum and forced Stone Cold to retire. However, the Hellraiser decided to come out of retirement earlier this at Wrestlemania when he faced Kevin Owens in an impromptu matchup. The match was an absolute blast and Austin taking several bumps left the 70 something thousand at the AT&T Stadium in utter disbelief. Austin won the match courtesy of his Stunner and continued opening up countless beer cans.

With that being said, Austin felt extremely good after doing this match and it actually felt like he can hang in for more. Fans expect him to wrestle at WrestleMania 39 as well. #3 CM Punk

CM Punk vs. Steve Austin would draw huge numbers

This might be the most extraneous name on this list. As we are aware, Punk is going through a period of suspension with All Elite Wrestling as part of repercussions of that All Out media scrum. Reports even suggested a potential buy-out of his AEW contract, but that’s not a done deal, by far means. He may return to AEW as well, but that doesn’t seems the case due to majority of votes going against him.

Considering, he gets released from AEW and in all madness ends up returning to WWE after almost a decade, putting him in a match against Steve Austin at Wrestlemania could be the best move, from a business standpoint. We’ve seen these men cross paths in the past, however, Austin choose to stay retired then. This match turning into reality is not impossible, but to make this happen, there’s a lot variables that have to come into play.

The Attitude Era vs. The Ruthless Aggression Era means Steve Austin vs. John Cena. This would be a clash for the eras. Two chieftains of their respective periods having a match at the biggest stage of them all is something which the world should better be ready for.

With both Cena and Austin reportedly working Wrestlemania 39 in Los Angeles, wouldn’t it be a smart decision to simply put these legends together in a match? For sure the idea is great and would excite a tons of WWE fans, the only concern would be the work-rate then. Needless to say, but the ring-rust and absence of on anchor in this combination can make things dreadful.

#1 Austin Theory

Austin Theory vs. Steve Austin should be a well-worked match

Everyone knows it’s high time to let the past stay in history books and focus on “The Now”. Ever since losing his MITB contract after an unsuccessful pursuit over Seth Rollins, the once assumed Vince McMahon’s protege Austin Theory has revitalized himself. Clearly Triple H had better plans for him and everything is palpable right now as Theory’s enjoying his second reign as the United States Champion.

Austin Theory’s meteoric rise to the top is definitely not a fluke and the young man has proved of being a “deserving candidate” of this industry. Inserting him against the legendary Steve Austin at Wrestlemania won’t be a bad option at all. Rewind 8 months of your memory and recall when Stone Cold stunned Theory at Mania, this year. If they do plan on Austin being Austin’s opponent next year, the potential feud already has a story ready for it.
