Major UPDATE on Austin Theory’s Future Plans In WWE Post MITB Loss at RAW

There has been a lot of speculation around the decision to end Austin Theory‘s reign as The Money In The Bank briefcase holder. Many fans and observers questioned the fact why Theory was let go off the contract that allowed him a championship opportunity and would have positioned him at the top at some point of time.
Well, an exclusive report from Ringside News has reportedly revealed the reason why Austin Theory was robbed off the briefcase and it isn’t bad news for the fans of the former United States Champion. According to the report, the loss that Theory suffered today on Monday Night RAW was for Theory’s ultimate good as it would remove an unnecessary pressure of the MITB contract from him.
It is understood that WWE is keen to establish Roman Reigns as their top star for a while now. Thus, keeping the MITB briefcase with him wouldn’t have done any good to Theory and would have stopped him from entering potential storylines as well. Many believed that today’s segment was put in to write off Theory from a storyline but that’s not the case.
According to the said report, upon being contacted, a member of the creative team informed the source that – “the producers all felt we were finally getting Theory in position.” Theory is now getting involved in the middle of a storyline with Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley and thus can be placed in a feud with either of them as both of them are allegedly placed at top places on the RAW roster.

Austin Theory Cashed-In His MITB Contract on RAW in a Failed Attempt
Seth Rollins had issued an Open Challenge to the RAW roster for his United States Championship, which was initially answered by Mustafa Ali. But, before Ali could make it to the ring, The Almighty Bobby Lashley attacked him and put him out of action. Lashley then decimated The Visionary and proved his dominance.
As soon as Lashley got done with Rollins and was moving backstage, Austin Theory’s music hit and he saw an opening to finally cash-in his long due MITB contract. Theory wanted to secure the US Gold for the second time in his career as he cashed in and the match started. The former US Champion took advantage of an injured Rollins and executed every move in his arsenal.

But The Visionary surprisingly kicked out of every attempt, before Austin Theory could put in the final nail in the coffin, The Almighty returned once again and this time attacked Theory, and applied The Hurt Lock. This allowed Rollins to gain conscious, who would then capitalise on the situation and deliver a curb stomp and shattered The Mr. Money In The Bank Winner’s dream of gelding the gold again.
