One can’t force things were some of the words Becky Lynch had in mind while relishing the glory she had at WrestleMania 35. At the event, she took on UFC ace Ronda Rousey and 14-time Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. However, it wasn’t supposed to be a triple threat match from the get-go. Flair ended up being a last-minute addition, courtesy of Vince McMahon.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Becky alluded to how WWE didn’t tweak their plans for her once fans rebelled after The Queen’s inclusion. Her wordings seem inspired from how WWE reshaped Cody Rhodes‘ WrestleMania plans once the fans staged an anti-Dwayne Johnson movement.
Becky insisted on the fact how timing is the key in sports entertainment. At one point, the fans yearned to see The Rock wrestle his cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. However, it wasn’t the apt season this year, she affirmed.
For years, everyone wanted The Rock vs Roman Reigns, but it's not the time for it right now. Everyone wants Roman vs Cody. Some things have their seasons and we didn't have that season. If she ever comes back again, maybe that season will be right there.Becky Lynch via the Daily Mail
The Irish Lass Kicker cited the functioning of the current regime as the paragon of making a pivot in plans when fans call for it. And it’s kind of crazy to think that WWE was never able to revisit that much-fancied singles showdown between Lynch and Rousey. And considering that the latter is no longer in WWE, that dream match may never happen.
Becky Lynch will face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania
Yesterday at the Elimination Chamber, the Big Time Becks ousted five other women to punch her ticket to Philadelphia. Becky had previously missed out on sealing a direct pathway to Mania when she failed to win the Royal Rumble match.
When she won the Women’s Chamber, Lynch had to wait for a while to know whom she’s going up against at WrestleMania XL. However, it ended up being the woman of her liking. As the fans know, Rhea Ripley retained her Women’s World title against Nia Jax in front of her home crowd. And now, The Eradicator can set her sights on The Man.
Lynch and Ripley have been throwing daggers at each other for quite a while now. They’ve had numerous on-screen interactions in recent months. And finally, two of the biggest female attractions in modern-era are going to dupe it out at the Grandest Stage of them all.
