Bobby Lashley is set to fight Austin Theory on the 30th anniversary edition of RAW. Lashley hasn’t been able to capture the United States Championship again since his loss to Seth Rollins on RAW in October. Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, and Austin Theory have been involved in a rivalry for quite a while now.
Theory recently defended the US Championship against Rollins on the January 2nd edition of RAW. Last week, The Almighty won the six pack challenge to seal his spot against Austin Theory.
As one of the most well-known figures in the wrestling world, Bobby Lashley is still going strong at the age of 46. Currently, Lashley is an important part of the WWE and a utility superstar who can move from the mid-card to the top card.
Many superstars are expected to surprise at the Royal Rumble, which takes place in a week. The biggest surprise being speculated is that The Rock would make his return at the Royal Rumble for his Road to WrestleMania.
During a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Bobby Lashley stated that The Rock being a huge star and him being back would be a plus point for the company. He said that he is unsure whether the Rock will be back in the WWE. Lashley even said that he doesn’t know what the plans are for him.
“The Rock is a huge star. So, of course, if he comes back, it’s gonna bring a lot of notoriety to us…..We don’t know anything. I don’t even know what I’m doing next month…..But of course, everybody would love to see The Rock; he’s a huge star. So if he comes back, it’ll be good for all of us,”

Bobby Lashley has a desire to face The Rock
In a recent interview with RainmakerNYC, Bobby Lashley was asked about an opponent he would love to headline WrestleMania against. The Almighty mentioned The Rock as one of the men he would love to headline WrestleMania with. He also mentioned Brock Lesnar, but stated that The Rock was his top choice for WrestleMania.
“There’s always some big names in the business and no matter what, I mean this is not my matchup, but The Rock is always huge, iconic figure….You know for me it’s always the big matches. Everybody wants a good match.”
Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar aren’t done with each other. Their match at the Crown Jewel clearly wasn’t the end of their rivalry. In singles matches, the record between The Beast incarnate and The Almighty is 1-1. As of now, there is no update as to what the plans are for the feud between them.
