For the first time since driving CM Punk out of business at AEW, Jack Perry is back in the loop. Last night, at NJPW: Battle in the Valley, the 26-year-old rose from within the crowd and went straight after Shota Umino. While in the ring, Perry tore up his AEW contract, evincing his potential departure from the Tony Khan-owned promotion.

Moreover, the former Jungle Boy also donned an armband that said, “Scapegoat,” and it could be a direct reference to his infamous backstage scuffle with CM Punk at All In. Five months removed from the moment he yelled at Punk to go cry him a river, a lot has changed. After the two reportedly traded blows at the gorilla position, Perry was suspended indefinitely.

And worse for Punk, following a microscopic investigation by a Bryan Danielson-led disciplinary committee, The Best in the World was fired. A couple of months later, The Second City Saint returned home to WWE. After the dust from his comeback settled, the WWE fans pointed out the indirect contributions Jack Perry made by prompting Punk to go back to the place he once despised the most.

Recently, DJ Whoo Kid, who accompanied Swerve Strickland during his entrance at AEW All In, revealed some first-hand details. He was right there at the epicenter of Brawl In, spilling the beans in a roundabout manner. The Brooklyn-based artist said the situation was a pure mess with a Hawaiian-lookin’ guy, apparently Samoa Joe, pleading with fellow stars to leave a mark out there.

CM Punk has been added to this year’s Elimination Chamber

After the recent report from WON’s Dave Meltzer claiming that The Rock’s heavily rumored dream match with Roman Reigns is not happening at the Elimination Chamber, a major addition has been made. CM Punk has been officially announced by WWE CCO Triple H to be at the PLE.

It comes across as a massive addition to the famed event in Perth. Now that he’s added to the wrestling grandiose in West Australia, everyone’s wondering whom Punk could face.

Based on the heated segment he had with Drew McIntyre on Raw this week, a singles match between them might be on the cards. Also, a few hours ago, McIntyre mocked Punk for being absent at live events despite stating that he’s a workhorse.
