From making brief cameos on WWE television as a kid to becoming the most despised heel today, Dominik Mysterio has had quite the journey in WWE. The young gun has had the run of his lifetime ever since he split from his father, Rey Mysterio. That said, the superstar recently gave an NSFW response to the returning CM Punk, teasing his first match against him.

This week, The Best in the World made his first appearance on the red brand in over a decade. It is unclear who will be his first opponent after his return. Regardless, the Straight Edge Superstar hinted at his first match on Instagram. He shared a screen grab from one of his SmackDown segments. Dominik Mysterio also appeared in the very same segment. The latter has now retorted to Punk’s story with an NSFW reaction.

Reacting to the 45-year-old’s story, Dominik Mysterio reposted the same screen snap with a middle finger emoji. In addition to that, he put clown emojis over the faces of all of his family members. Not only had the superstar effortlessly hit back at Punk, but he did so by keeping his heel tendencies alive. Even in this situation, he hadn’t forgotten to denigrate his own family.

The infamous segment featuring Punk and Mysterio took place nearly 13 years ago. It was when the former was leading the Straight Edge Society faction. Back in the day, he had a heated rivalry with the Legendary Luchador. In the same segment, he creepily wished a happy birthday to Rey Mysterio’s daughter, Aalyah, on her 9th birthday. As a result, it is going to be interesting to see Punk hurl back all the past receipts to Mysterio going forward.

After making a staggering comeback at the Survivor Series, the Best in the World addressed his WWE fans on Monday Night Raw. It was also his first appearance on WWE programming in almost a decade. Many fans were disappointed that his promo lasted for only 6 minutes. Speaking of which, a recent report suggests that Punk’s promo was a last moment truncation.

WWE announced CM Punk’s Raw appearance after his Survivor Series return. Given that it was his first appearance in nearly a decade, many fans anticipated an elaborate segment. However, his promo started merely five minutes before the show ended. According to PW Insiders, his segment was cut short due to Randy Orton and Dominik Mysterio’s match.

The report suggested that the Straight Edge Superstar was supposed to get a large chunk of screen time initially. However, things changed at the very last minute because Viper’s match against Dirty Dom lasted longer than planned. As a result, the 45-year-old had limited screen time, so he delivered a quick promo in the available time.
