Edge attacked Finn Balor last night on Raw

The story of Judgment Day and Edge is nearing a year now. Edge founded the faction last year at WrestleMania. The Rated- R star took Damian Preist, Rhea Ripley, and Finn Balor under his wing, only to be betrayed by them shortly afterwards. While the feud was on standby after Extreme Rules, since Royal Rumble the rivalry has been red hot heading into WrestleMania.

After suffering a loss at Elimination Chamber, Finn Balor tried to retaliate on the following Raw. The former Universal Champion interfered at the United States title match between Edge and Austin Theory two weeks ago. This helped out Theory to retain his title. After the match, Balor delivered three Coup de Grace to his rival to end the show. This was the reason Edge was not on Raw last week and Judgment Day continued to mock the Hall of Famer.

This week on Monday Night Raw, the 11-time World Champion returned to the show and interfered in Finn Balor’s match against Johnny Gargano. As Edge’s theme music hit, the Judgment Day lined themself up on the ramp waiting for him to make his way out. However, the Rated R Superstar sneaked from the crowd to attack Finn Balor from behind.

Edge gave Balor the taste of his own medicine as Gargano pinned his opponent after an assist from the Hall of Famer. After the match, Edge lay out his rival with a spear to humiliate Balor even more. You can watch the incident unfold here.

Edge will call out Finn Balor next week

It looks like the feud between these warring heads will continue to the Grandest Stage of Them All. For Next Week, WWE has already advertised that Edge will call out Finn Balor. The WWE Universe can expect both superstars to finally agree on a singles match for WrestleMania when they come face-to-face on Raw next Monday. On top of that, there could be an added stipulation to the match, seeing the animosity between the two.

There were rumors that Edge and Balor will compete in a Hell in a Cell match at the Royal Rumble. While Obviously the match never transpired in January, it cannot be ruled out from the Show of Shows. Some rumors also involve the return of “Demon” Balor at WrestleMania. However, the devilish persona of Finn might not suit the Judgment day member in his current gimmick. Whatever might be the case, the fans can anticipate some more confirmation for the WrestleMania card next week.
