Money in the Bank 2023 has been registered in the history books of WWE as one of the best premium live events of all time. Now that the event has wrapped up, the company will be focusing on its next event, SummerSlam. The Biggest Part of Summer will be hosted by Ford Field in Detroit this year on August 5. Hence, six matches have been rumored for the spectacular event, with their chances of happening all confirmed.
WWE is planning huge things for SummerSlam with a stacked card. With Triple H as the creative head, the company would ensure a perfect blend of incredible performance and necessary drama. It is considered one of the four major premium live events of the year. Therefore, the fans can expect some spectacular things from the event.
The road to SummerSlam will begin on the upcoming episode of RAW, which is already rumored to have major returns. Some matches are inevitable, while some storylines are yet to take shape on the main roster. The planned six matches for SummerSlam are as follows:

6. Asuka vs Bianca Belair vs Charlotte Flair for WWE Women’s Championship
The title match between Asuka and Charlotte Flair ended in a no contest with the interference of Bianca Belair. Hence, Flair will be again looking for redemption with a rematch against the Champion for her WWE Women’s Championship. But according to Adam Pearce’s words, Bianca will be rooting for her rematch against Asuka as well.
To solve this dispute among the stars, WWE will find a middle ground by announcing a triple-threat match. Considering the triple threat rules, SummerSlam 2023 could be the best option for the match to happen. This stipulation could be favorable for the challengers but not for Asuka, as her loss won’t necessarily be her pinfall.
5. Trish Stratus vs Becky Lynch
Night of Champions witnessed the clash between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus. But due to Zoey Stark’s interference, the match went in favor of Trish, who came out as the winner. The feud between Stratus and Lynch continued momentarily on RAW thereafter. The rivalry between the two is far from over.
Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, and Zoey Stark were all part of the Women’s Money In The Bank match. Zoey and Stratus teamed up against Becky and attacked her frequently during the match. It is most likely to culminate in a match at SummerSlam this year. Becky Lynch will most likely face Trish Stratus at the Biggest Party of the Summer to end their rivalry.
4. Drew McIntyre vs Gunther
Money in the Bank saw yet another shocking moment when Drew McIntyre made his return to confront Gunther. McIntyre’s appearance came directly after his WrestleMania loss against Gunther and Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship. And now that he is back, he will be going for the title once again.
The match between Gunther and McIntyre is inevitable at SummerSlam this year. The hard-hitting match will be looked forward to by many and could be the show-stealer. This will be a perfect moment for Drew to gain yet another push in the company, as he will be planning to end The Ring General’s year-long reign of the Intercontinental Championship.
3. Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler
Money in the Bank saw an unexpected betrayal when Shayna Baszler attacked her best friend, Ronda Rousey. The result of this attack cost them their titles, and Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Ronda will seek to avenge the betrayal at a grander stage of SummerSlam.
The Queen of Spades will possibly explain her actions on the upcoming episode of SmackDown. The former UFC stars will most likely clash at the Biggest Party of the Summer. It is a match that many fans have been waiting to witness in WWE.
2. Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
The third chapter in the books of Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes will be written at SummerSlam. The plans for having a trilogy of matches between The American Nightmare and The Beast Incarnate were speculated way earlier. To end this rivalry at SummerSlam, WWE can add a stipulation to their bout.
Rhodes’ win at Backlash and Lesnar’s victory at Night of Champions have tied both at 1-1 with SummerSlam being their deciding point. The whole feud is Cody’s buildup for him to end his story against Roman Reigns. The American Nightmare’s victory will give him momentum to be the perfect opponent for The Tribal Chief.
1. Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso
After a devastating loss in The Bloodline Civil War, Roman Reigns will not look back after avenging his pinfall loss at the hands of Jey Uso. The final chapter of The Bloodline saga will be witnessed at SummerSlam when The Tribal Chief faces his cousin for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Coming full circle from the formation of The Bloodline to its end, Jey would be the common link between its inception and end. The reason for The Bloodline’s implosion will be fulfilled if Reigns drops his title against Jey. However, it looks implausible, but the Tribal Chief is certain to face Jey Uso at SummerSlam this year.
