WWE has started building towards their upcoming premium live event in Saudi Arabia. With Crown Jewel set to emanate from the Mohammad Abdu Arena on November 4th, the promotion will leave no stone unturned. Thus far, it’s known that Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight title against Drew McIntyre. And Rhea Ripley would look to reign supreme over Nia Jax, Zoey Stark, Raquel Rodriguez, and Shayna Baszler.

It seems that the creative plans for Crown Jewel do not include two elite-level WWE athletes, Gunther and Iyo Sky. This is because both champions have to appear for a live event in the United States on the same date as Crown Jewel. Gunther will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura, while Iyo Sky will face off against veteran Charlotte Flair.

A few days ago, Dave Meltzer reported that some ‘top stars’ would likely be kept off Crown Jewel to make up for the house shows in the United States. Well, it’s not something Gunther fans will be highly appreciative of. He’s on course to miss his third consecutive premium live event. The leader of Imperium beat Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam, and he hasn’t been on the PLEs ever since.

As for Iyo Sky, she put her Women’s Championship on the line against Charlotte Flair and Asuka at Fastlane. With some inadvertent aid from Bayley, The Genius of the Sky retained her gold. However, her next title defense at a premium live event might not happen in Riyadh.

What’s going to close the night at Crown Jewel?

The biggest story brewing out of last Friday’s SmackDown was LA Knight’s confrontation with Roman Reigns. The Megastar’s agenda is as clear as daylight: he wants to take down The Tribal Chief. Reigns thought he would get rid of Knight by feeding him to Solo Sikoa. However, in the main event, The Enforcer couldn’t keep up with Knight’s defiance and went down.

Seemingly upset with the outcome, Roman Reigns decided to take matters into his own hands. He picked the right moment to attack The Megastar. Reigns stood tall as the show came to a close. However, the very next night in Kanas City, LA Knight took his revenge when he hit Reigns with a BFT following the latter’s title defense against Sami Zayn.

The Defiant One exclaimed that Roman would have to call him a champion very soon. This week on SmackDown, it would be interesting to see how The Bloodline reacts to Knight’s persistence. WWE will very soon announce Reigns vs. Knight official for Crown Jewel. As of now, there’s no word on if Roman Reigns will be on the show tomorrow.
