Roman Reigns’ last pinfall loss seems bygone. The current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has been on an epitome of a run. Even more so, Reigns recently smashed another milestone by completing 800 days being the company’s World title holder. For the unversed, the Tribal Chief captured the Universal title back at Payback 2020, and the WWE Championship at WrestleMania this year.

Gazing through the rampant period of Roman Reigns’ impeccable title reign, the question is who’ll beat him? Tons of legends and current top stars have tried all, but to no avail. The Bloodline’s leader had enough armaments to shoot them down. Most recently, Roman was put in a slightly unfamiliar territory against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel. Despite putting up the fight of his wrestling career, The Maverick fell short, allowing Reigns to amplify his dominance.

A plethora of fan theories are a common feature of wrestling on Twitter. They keep producing undomesticated ways to weed those titles off Reigns. But recently, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long came up with his fantasy citing his vision to conclude The Tribal Chief’s stay at the top. While appearing on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s One on One, Teddy was asked the former about Nick Aldis’ wrestling future, and in response, Teddy propounded something amazing.

“That’s money right there. But I’ll kind of do it the other way around. I’ll have Nick come in first and take the belt from Roman Reigns. I’d do it that way, and then he’s out there celebrating, and of the out blue, here comes Cody.”

Would you like a future showdown between Roman Reigns and Nick Aldis?

Nick Aldis and Roman Reigns sounds absolutely unreal
Nick Aldis and Roman Reigns sounds absolutely unreal

It seems like one hell of an idea, to be honest for Aldis to go past Roman. Aldis has wrapped up his tenure in the NWA and is open for bookings, including a potential deal with WWE. But as of now, it is just a rumor.

The 36-year-old has grabbed the attention of wrestling fans ever since the talks regarding his potential WWE debut drifted around the market. As seen above, Teddy Long brought in Cody Rhodes’ name in conversation, naming him as the first-hand opponent for the newly crowned champ in Nick Aldis, supposedly.

Well, it would take a lot of plug-ins to make the fantasy happen for real. Considering there are plenty of viable contenders for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in WWE itself, will it be fair enough to let an outsider get fed with a silver platter?

So being said, the currently sidelined Ex-AEW superstar Cody Rhodes is being considered a frontrunner to overcome Reigns. He’s due to be back soon and could win next year’s Royal Rumble. The Prodigal Son will then unlock an opportunity to claim his stake at the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39.
