On January 25, Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, filed a s*xual trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and the company. Grant accused McMahon of emotional, physical, and mental abuse. In addition to that, she alleged that WWE had helped cover up its former chairman’s actions. Now, new information has come to light regarding the lawsuit.
Front Office Sports was able to confirm with sources close to the case that president WWE Nick Khan and COO Brad Blum are among key figures mentioned in the lawsuit. More precisely, Khan and Blum are, in fact, Corporate Officers #1 and #2. The report further adds that Stephanie McMahon, referred to as Corporate Officer #3, was aware of the s*xual misconduct by her father. Meanwhile, the former head of WWE’s legal department, Brian Nurse, has been identified as the fourth employee.
WWE sources have maintained that Khan and Blum were indeed aware of the affair. However, neither of them participated or knew about the s*xual abuse and trafficking. According to the lawsuit, both employees played important roles in covering up the heinous acts. McMahon had also told Grant to reach out to Blum if anything went wrong at the time.
In March 2021, Vince McMahon told Grant about a meeting that took place with Khan and Blum. The two men had expressed their concerns about the relationship and asked whether the plaintiff should be trusted. A WWE spokesperson that FOS reached out to denied the particular conversation written in the lawsuit happening.
Vince’s daughter, Stephanie, resigned from her role following the former’s return to the company in January 2023. A few weeks ago, she was accused of playing a part in covering up Ashley Massaro‘s allegations as well. Corporate Officer #4, Nurse, left the company in November 2020, with the lawsuit adding that he was either “terminated or forced to resign.”
Stephanie McMahon’s return to WWE unlikely after lawsuit against Vince McMahon
After the allegations against Vince McMahon surfaced, it was only a matter of time before the TKO chairman left. Subsequently, the former WWE owner resigned from his position. Later, rumors surfaced online about the possibility of Stephanie McMahon returning.
However, it seems unlikely that the Billion Dollar Princess will ever come back to WWE. The aforementioned report has revealed that she was allegedly aware of the ongoings. The lawsuit also described how Stephanie’s promise of a thorough investigation turned out to be a “sham.”
In fact, her abrupt absence from work in May 2022 had fans wondering whether her relationship with her father had deteriorated. Stephanie’s resignation right after her father’s return further added to the speculation. Only time will tell what the future holds for the McMahon family following the heinous allegations.
