Roman Reigns completed 1000 days as the Universal Champion on Saturday at Night of Champions. Reigns made sure that his celebration would conincide with him achieving yet another milestone. However, his dream was shattered when Jimmy Uso turned on him in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, costing him the tag team match. Last week on SmackDown, the storyline took an interesting turn.
Triple H unveiled a new championship on the Blue Brand for Roman Reigns as an honor for his massive achievement. The Game combined both the titles of the Reigns and provided him with a golden title of the same design. The segment was followed by The Usos confronting The Tribal Chief. Fans saw complete chaos and drama in the ring.
The Usos laid down the opportunity for Solo Sikoa to come by their side in support of his brothers. Solo agreed to these terms until he eventually betrayed them upon Reigns’ disapproval of his joining them. The 30-year-old planted a “Samoan Spike” on Jimmy, showcasing his loyalty act towards Roman Reigns.
Soon The Head of the Table and Solo Sikoa walked away with The Usos in the ring. Roman Reigns finally broke his silence after what transpired on SmackDown this week. The Tribal Chief posted a picture on Twitter and Instagram with an intimidating yet poignant caption. It was from backstage on Mohegan Sun Arena after SmackDown went off air.
Roman Reigns was seen holding his new golden belt and sitting on a staircase with no one around. His metaphorical caption stated that he was alone at the top, which is his current status in the company. While the caption showed a sense of pride, it also said how a man becomes a lone warrior in the process of reaching the summit.
R-Truth backs Roman Reigns over his new post
Roman Reigns took to social media when he posted his picture with the new Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The caption of his post suggested he is lonely at the top, as he is at the peak of his career. The metaphorical caption stated his eminence in the company, with no other star achieving this luster.
WWE veteran R-Truth commented on it with a jocular statement. Truth stated that he’d accompany Reigns to the top with The Tribal Chief. The 51-year-old jokingly teased his alliance with The Head of the Table and told him not to be lonely. R Truth has always been a funny character, and he has once again given a glimpse of it.
