Massive update on Roman Reigns’ WWE plans after WrestleMania 39
WrestleMania 39 is under 50 days away, and the reports have already started to come out revealing the plans for Roman Reigns following the two-night event.
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns is going to defend his historic title reign at this year’s WrestleMania. It will be his most difficult challenge yet, as the Tribal Chief will go against the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes. Whoever wins the bout at the Grandest Stage of Them All, it isn’t certain what the future holds for both of them following the main event match.
Recently, Xero News reported that WWE is planning to return to Saudi Arabia after WrestleMania. Further, the main event of that show in May will involve Roman Reigns in the mix. The name of the PPV is still not finalized as of yet. Xero News tweeted, “It’s currently unknown what the PPV will be called but my source tells me he wouldn’t be surprised if it was “WrestleMania: Backlash” in Saudi Arabia.”
The last WWE show in Saudi Arabia was the Crown Jewel event in November. It is no secret that each show in the Middle East is highly profitable for the company. The Crown Prince has signed a multi-year deal with WWE to do two annual shows in his State for a huge sum of money.
Roman Reigns’ opponent for the May event has yet to be revealed. Additionally, it isn’t even known whether the Head of the Table will enter that match as a champion or not. There is no doubt that the WWE Universe will be rooting for Tribal Chief’s opponent, Cody Rhodes, at WrestleMania. The 2023 Royal Rumble winner is heading into WrestleMania with all the momentum. On the other hand, the Bloodline seems to be breaking apart as things seem turbulent on the Island of Relevancy.

Is Roman Reigns retaining his Championship at WrestleMania?
Despite all the fans against him, there is still a chance that Roman Reigns will head out of the main event of the Show of Shows as the Undisputed champion. These recent reports seem to further validate this theory. If the Head of the Table is going to main event the Saudi Arabian show, he might still be the Champion. Roman could also have a major opponent, like Goldberg, planned for the event.
If Cody Rhodes does manage to get his first world title in WWE, he can go on to defend the championship against Roman Reigns in a rematch. There is no doubt that the Tribal Chief has proven that he is the needle mover. That is why he deserves to be the main event in WWE. Being the central figure of one of the most decorated factions in wrestling, Roman Reigns will continue his story with the Bloodline even after WrestleMania. Hence, the anticipation for the following weeks’ worth of TV is tremendous.
