The match was recently announced, with Youtuber and Amateur Boxer Logan Paul as his opponent. Roman Reigns and Paul were involved in a war of words at the press conference, with Paul saying that he is confident and will create history at the event. Roman Reigns last defended the title against Drew McIntyre at the Clash at the Castle Live event, where McIntyre was distracted by Solo Sikoa, reigns cousin. After the match, Roman Reigns was congratulated by Boxing Icon Tyson Fury and thereafter Fury sang Sweet Caroline with Drew McIntyre.

The WWE Universe initially thought that Reigns would be attacked by Fury and the scenario would be set for them to fight at the Crown Jewel, but that’s not the case as for now, although it has been said that a match between the both icons may happen in the future. Dave Meltzer has recently said that WWE will make Tyson Fury vs Roman Reigns happen at some point in the future.

“Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer indicated that WWE wants to book Roman Reigns vs. Tyson Fury at some point down the line.”

Tyson Fury has already made his WWE in ring debut in 2019 at the Crown Jewel, where he defeated Braun Strowman in a singles match. The match was widely criticized, with critics calling it forgettable and weak, although Fury getting a decent amount of praise for his performance. Another match on the card at the event was that of Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez, which was also a lackluster.
