Ronda Rousey has not stepped back into the octagon since late 2016. Her 48-second embarrassment against Amanda Nunes completely drove her out of the lane. Many of her ardent devotees thought that the former UFC Bantamweight Champion would return to the unholy battlegrounds of MMA, that is yet to happen. More than 6 years have passed by, however, Rousey never felt the need to go back.
At present, she’s one-half of the women’s Tag-Team champions with her real-life friend and former UFC ace Shayna Baszler. Keeping that in mind and the lucrative offerings she gets from WWE, crawling back to her past nightmares would be the last thing she’d do. Even though she’s never talked about avenging her previous UFC losses, the Arm Collector did share one wish.
Last year, while being a guest on The Kurt Angle Show, the current WWE Superstar opened up on Gina Carano. For the unversed, at one point, the latter was billed as the face of women’s MMA due to her impressive stints with EliteXC and Strikeforce. She wrapped the cloth on an inspiring MMA career in August 2015 after losing her 1st ever fight against Cris Cyborg. That eventually took her away from the octagon as she pursued Hollywood.
Speaking about Carano, Rousey revealed that if there’s any woman who can ignite her passion to produce another MMA bout, it’s the 41-year-old former Mandalorian actress. “I mean, I’ve said it a million times. It’s not like it’s something new but, for Gina man. Gina Carano, she’s the reason why I got into fighting, she’s the reason why I knew it was a possibility. I will always be forever grateful… and if she ever was like, ‘Ronda, I wanna fight you tomorrow at 205 pounds,’ like whatever the hell she’d want,” said Rousey.

What’s the long-term plans for Ronda Rousey in WWE?
Two weeks ago on Raw, Rousey & Baszler captured those Women’s tag titles in a Fatal-4-way match. This week, the champs had a physically challenging showdown against the newly arrived pair of Kayden Carter & Katana Chance. Almost getting to the brink of an upset, the former UFC aces survived the night. As of late, the Rowdy One has openly acknowledged the fact that she was the one who pushed for this run with Baszler.
The management ultimately agreed to Rousey’s demand and they’re at the top of their respective division’s food chain right now. Considering what could be the endgame for this dominant pairing, either one of them would eventually make the turn. There has been some hassle regarding WWE’s secretive plan regarding a future singles clash between Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler. If that’s the plan, they first need to revitalize their natural essence, which fans have been complaining for long now.
