Sami Zayn is currently enjoying his run as The Honorary Uce of The Bloodline. While as reported earlier Zayn’s inclusion into the faction was meant for a short period of time but as he got popular among the masses, he became a strong part of the cast rather than just being a guest appearance.

Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn both have been part of the wrestling business for quite some time now and both of them are insanely good in what they do. While Roman Reigns’ Tribal Chief persona has made him earn the love of fans like never before, Zayn’s stint with The Bloodline has become the new hot topic for the wrestling community.

On the latest edition of Peter Rosenberg’s Cheap Heat podcast Zayn reflected on his relationship with Reigns and said that it has been a learning experience for him to work with The Tribal Chief. Sami praised Reigns for his work and said that though he has known him for many years this the first time he is working with and that too when Reigns is on the peak of his career.

He further called Roman Reigns very “amicable” and said that his poise attracts him a lot. While speaking about learning from Reigns, Zayn said- “There’s kind of no way to learn that but to go through it and get it, kind of like wisdom. The only way to be wise is to live and learn. He’s lived and learned in this business. It’s reflected in some of those on-screen interactions.”

Sami Zayn reveals that he wanted to do Survivor Series’ backstage segment on TV

Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns had shared a few moments backstage before entering their match at Survivor Series WarGames. After Jey Uso had told Reigns that Sami was planning to betray them, The Tribal Chief himself took the charge and confronted The Honorary Uce. However, Sami was able to convince Reigns that he was with The Bloodline till the very end and that is what exactly happened in the match as well.

Zayn in the above-mentioned podcast reflected back on the backstage segment he had with Reigns at Survivor Series and said that he feels the segment should have been done on a weekly show such as RAW or SmackDown. He said that if the segment was on TV the people would have been able to sit through it longer.

While talking about the segment Zayn said- “I was really pleased with that backstage interview where he would look me in the eyes to figure out if he could trust me. If you watch that back, as I did, he sat in silence in a way that is very difficult to do, especially in a pro wrestling backstage.” Zayn focused on the fact that the segment

Sami Zayn actually went silent for around 45 seconds for Reigns to look him in the eyes to establish that trust and composure. Talking about the silence Zayn praised Reigns for keeping his calm and poise in such an important moment as a backstage segment featuring a silence of this duration is genuinely rare to witness in the pro wrestling industry.
