Zayn appeared this week on WWE’s The Bump show and discussed some interesting things. The 38-year-old revealed that it was The Hardy Boyz that influenced him to become a wrestler.
Over the years, there have been many wrestlers who grew up watching WWE legends. However, The Hardy Boyz is one such faction that inspired generations across the globe. They paved the way for the next generation to thrive in this industry. Moreover, they left an unprecedented legacy that still stands as an example for every aspiring superstar.
While speaking on WWE’s “The Bump” show, Sami Zayn shared a lot of moments about his personal life. On being asked about his favorite tag team during his childhood, the Canadian superstar went nostalgic. He named “The Hardy Boyz” as the faction that he grew up watching. Moreover, Zayn highlighted that they played a crucial role in his entire career.
The 38-year-old went deep down memory lane as he recalled his childhood moments. “Really, it was the Hardy Boyz. Actually, they were so pivotal to my whole life,” Zayn said. He added that the Hardy Boyz came into his life at an age when it seemed implausible to become a WWE superstar. Therefore, Sami Zayn expressed his gratitude towards Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy.
He believes that without them, it wouldn’t have been possible for him to be what he is today. The Tag Team Champion acknowledged The Hardy Boyz for inspiring him to be a wrestler. Moreover, Zayn added that they made him believe that even the younger and smaller guys have opportunities in this industry.

However, Sami Zayn’s involvement with the faction gave rise to perhaps one of the greatest and most iconic storylines in WWE. However, The Bloodline’s storyline involving Zayn culminated with him betraying Roman Reigns. The 38-year-old went on to win the Undisputed Tag Team Championships with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 39. However, Sami Zayn recently retweeted an old WWE post where he approached Roman Reigns for the first time. It’s been an entire year since that happened.
As a result, Sami Zayn recounted the moment that went on to become one of the iconic storylines. He retweeted the post with the caption “One year ago, today,” leaving the fans nostalgic.
