The Bloodline has dominated both rosters since last year. With the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, as the Undisputed Universal Champion and the leader of this stable, the Bloodline enjoyed much success. Roman is accompanied by his cousins, the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, the Usos, as well as Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman. But except for all these members, one member who had no blood relation to the group but proved his loyalty to earn a spot in this group was Sami Zayn.

Fans were loving Sami Zayn and the Bloodline saga as Sami’s role in the faction brought new energy to the storyline. Sami proved his loyalty many times to be a part of the Bloodline. He helped Roman Reigns and the Usos by taking all the attacks on himself and saving them, whether it was in the ring or backstage. Ultimately, the Bloodline accepted him as one of their own. But still, his relationship was not so good with Jey Uso, so he continued to gain trust by every means. Eventually, Jey was convinced by Sami’s hard work and loyalty, and the Bloodline gave him the tag of “Honorary Uce.”

But Sami’s change in behavior was a concern for everyone in the Bloodline. When the Bloodline was involved in a feud with Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn’s attitude changed. It was seen several times that whenever every member attacked Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn thought twice about doing so. For all these reasons, a Tribal Court segment was held on the 30th anniversary of Raw for the trial of Sami. In that segment, Sami Zayn was not proven guilty because of the help he got from Jey Uso. He also returned the favor by teaming up with Jey and winning the Tag Team Championships against The Judgment Day.

But Sami Zayn’s Bloodline saga had to come to an end. And to do so, there could be no other place than the Royal Rumble itself, where the WWE universe witnessed an exciting main event match between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens. After the match, when everyone was beating Kevin Owens brutally, Sami was ordered to do the same with a chair. But instead of hitting Kevin, Sami betrayed Roman and hit him with the chair. He quickly paid the price for going against The Tribal Chief. Recently, Sami tweeted a heartbreaking photo following his exile.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani just before the day of the Rumble, Sami Zayn spoke about many things, including the Bloodline. In that interview, he was asked about how the ‘Honorary Uce’ storyline started. To this, Sami answered that the idea came to his mind a year ago. At that time, Roman Reigns had started to become the Head of the Table and was at his peak. He added that in an interview earlier, Roman was asked about a superstar he wanted to work with. In response to that, Roman took the name Sami Zayn, and Sami was grateful for that. Thus, Sami went on to discuss this idea with Roman Reigns.

But as per Sami Zayn, the idea was never about Sami becoming a member of the Bloodline. Rather, it was about him forming allies with them. At one point when the Bloodline story started, Sami was not so confident about his idea and wanted to change his direction. This thought changed in an episode where no members of the Bloodline were present. On that episode, Sami Zayn came in front of Roman Reigns for the first time.

Sami Zayn also added that off-screen he has a good relationship with the Bloodline and Roman Reigns. But one person Sami was not sure about was Paul Heyman, as he is one of the old-school people. Also, Paul Heyman has been the advocate of top superstars and is currently working with Roman Reigns. So Sami was a little afraid of what Paul could think about him and his idea. But ultimately, according to Sami, all storylines went well. Fans will have to wait to find out the result of this betrayal by Sami Zayn to the Bloodline.
