Last night’s Raw was a completely different vibe altogether. It almost felt like a proper wrestling show having major stakes tied with it. Given that Seth Rollins has vowed to be a fighting champion, Raw is slowly transitioning into a new era. As previously announced by WWE, The Visionary was set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest in tonight’s main-event.

Before getting to that, Priest & Balor interrupted Rollins to kick-off the show. Showing off amazing ring awareness, the champ tried to figure out where the rest of Judgment Day is lurking, pointing out Rhea Ripley & Dominik Mysterio.. He then said that maybe they’re going to blindside him from either side, or they might be making out below the ring. Cutting all the crap for once, Damian Priest warned Rollins to focus on what’s at stake later on.

Interestingly, the Archer of Infamy did mention that he doesn’t needs the Judgment Day at all to beat his opponent for the night. After knowing the same, Finn Balor gave a confused look. Anyways, fast forwarding to the real stuff, Rollins defeated Priest after a hellacious bout. Those men went for war clocking over 20 minutes at the timekeeper’s area. Despite a brilliant showing, the powerhouse of The Judgment Day came up short.

However, after the show went off-air, an unexpected thing happened. Rollins grabbed the mic and called up his opponent to the ring and shake his hand. After some initial hesitance, Damian Priest walked down that aisle and did the handshake. Although it’s not certain, it appeared like WWE is planting the seeds for an eventual Damian Priest babyface run. His disintegrate from the Judgment Day, if happens, would be something.

This week’s Raw didn’t just ended by Rollins pinning Priest to retain his gold. Instead, after that match, he came face-to-face with Finn Balor. Earlier on, The Architect poked fun at the former NXT Champion for his short-lived Universal Title reign from 2016. For sure, that must’ve brought back those nightmares for The Prince.

So, by the looks, WWE is planning Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor for Money in the Bank next month. Without a doubt, that match is going to bang on so many dimensions. There’s enough history these men share and they don’t need any kind of introduction for who they’ve become over the years.
