WrestleMania 39 is just around the corner, as fans await one of the most unpredictable main events in WWE history. Cody Rhodes is on his way to challenge the 900+ day title reign of Roman Reigns at the Grandest Stage. To make his road to Mania more difficult, The American Nightmare met a roadblock last week known as Solo Sikoa. Things got heated between them after Cody told Solo that he was not ready, which culminated in a match this week on Raw.

Prior to his meeting with the Tribal Chief at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes had to overcome The Enforcer on the go-home episode of Raw. It was a great physical encounter between both men, as expected. Solo Sikoa was heading into the match without getting pinned since his main roster debut. On the other hand, Cody also has been undefeated since his WWE return last year.

During the match, Solo took advantage of the distraction by The Usos, but failed to get the job done. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens took out The Usos to even the odds. The American Nightmare eventually emerged victorious and became the first man to pin Solo Sikoa on the main roster.

Moreover, The Enforcer was technically not undefeated, as he suffered a DQ loss on the main roster before. Fans on social media have given their reactions to Solo’s defeat. Regardless of the opinions, Cody needed to win, considering he will be heading into the biggest match of his career in just a few days.

On his path to dethrone the final boss, Roman Reigns, at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes had to go through a side quest named Solo Sikoa. Following a victory over The Enforcer, The American Nightmare is now considered a legitimate threat to the Tribal Chief’s Undisputed title reign.

Before Cody and Roman finally go head-to-head against each other in the main event of WrestleMania, they have one last meeting on SmackDown this Friday. The special segment on the upcoming SmackDown has been named “ALL RHODES LEAD TO ROMAN”.

This will only be the third time Roman and Cody come face-to-face prior to their match at Mania. Nonetheless, the build has been quite brilliant this far, with a great war of words between the two. Hence, it remains to be seen what transpires between both this Friday.
