Needless to say, The Rock had quite a night at this year’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony. He was there to posthumously induct his late grandmother, Lia Maivia, into the 2024 class of Hall of Fame. Despite brimming with gratitude, The Great One didn’t miss a chance to poke Cody Rhodes, who was sitting alongside his wife, Brandi Rhodes. But on his way back, the 51-year-old had an altercation.
A fan who was sitting in the front row yelled that it’s over for The Final Boss as Cody Rhodes is coming for him. The Rock took immediate cognizance of it as he was passing by. Apparently, he was visibly agitated. He turned to the outspoken fellow and said, “watch your f**king mouth,” as he finally decided to leave. It could’ve gotten ugly with the way the Black Adam star was conducting himself.
Nonetheless, with this brusque yet notable incident, WWE drew curtains on an eventful iteration of the Hall of Fame. Earlier on, The Brahma Bull was bestowed with the People’s Championship by boxing icon Muhammad Ali‘s widow, Lonnie Ali. She also narrated a story about how her late husband blessed Dwayne Johnson by allowing him to use the moniker, The People’s Champ.

He was out again, at last, to immortalize his grandma. Once he was done being humble, The Final Boss turned his attention towards The American Nightmare. At first, Rocky admitted that he had nothing but respect for Cody’s family. His dad, Dusty Rhodes, was a hero for him, Rock claimed. However, whatever goes down tonight at WrestleMania would not be professional; it’d be personal, said The People’s Champ.

A day or two ago, Rock had a sit-down conversation on the Will Cain show at the sight of WrestleMania 40 at the Lincoln Financial Field. The Attitude Era veteran decided to keep his Final Boss gimmick aside as he opened up at length.
Dwayne admitted that he decided to turn heel while he was in Hawaii and realized that the fans were disappointed by how Cody Rhodes was snubbed. Had it not been for the so-called Cody Crybabies, it would’ve led to The Rock taking on his cousin Roman Reigns for the title at WrestleMania this year.
But it was not to be, and WWE made the pivot. The member of TKO’s Board of Directors is set for his first WWE match in 8 years in a few hours. It’s only a matter of time before the 10-time World Champion takes center stage inside the squared circle.
