When the whole wrestling world was awaiting The Rock’s arrival in WWE, the People’s Champion paid a surprise visit somewhere else. The Hollywood star recently made an unexpected appearance at Grammys 2023. He specifically made it to the event to surprise one of his biggest fans, the pop-music icon, Adele.
Dwayne went to greater lengths to pull the strings for his appearance to remain a secret. In an interview with Variety, the Great One revealed how he managed to keep this a surprise. When The Rock informed the executive producer of the event, Ben Winston of Fulwell, both of them decided to plan a surprise for Adele at the top of the show.
The Rock told Variety, “We were trying to figure out something to do that was going to be fun and surprise her, and we had kicked around ideas all week. The key to a surprise like that is to actually keep it a surprise. Myself and the Grammys went to great lengths to make sure that Adele was authentically surprised in the moment, and she was.”
The former WWE star talked about another special moment following this. Later on, in the show, The Rock was also invited to the stage to present an award for a pop solo performance. Coincidentally, Adele won the award and shared another magical moment with her idol. The Hollywood superstar said that he truly admired Adele and her music. He believes that the “Easy on Me” singer “is a special iconic brilliant inspiring artist who has inspired a generation and who will continue to inspire generations to come.”

The Rock might have a match at WrestleMania 40

At the age of 50 with a booming Hollywood career, there is no arguing that The Rock is near the business end of his wrestling days. The 10-time world champion might just have a handful of matches left in his tank. Hence, he would like to make each of them count big. And what could be bigger than fighting the face of WWE and his cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania?
While this match has been in the works for years now, it seems it will have to wait for just one more. There are reports that The Rock has left the door open for a match at next year’s WrestleMania. Moreover, the Brahma Bull could set up the match by making an appearance at this year’s Show of Shows. As WrestleMania goes Hollywood on April 1st and 2nd, the people would await the return of Rock which would send shockwaves around the industry.
