Edge don't have over a year left in him. His restored WWE run is likely to receive it's Judgement Day soon enough. However, his recent Raw booking has been questioned.

As known, Edge returned at the Royal Rumble only to get eliminated by Judgment Day. Even after unleashing his fury over those ego-maniacs, the Rated-R Superstar found himself on the floor within minutes. Following that miscue on Raw, Edge went berserk over them after JD interrupted Cody Rhodes’ opening promo.

In the main-event, Rhodes faced Balor. During the closing moments of that match, Edge once again ran through the crowd to take out Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio. Then for a second, Rhea Ripley tried to wreck the WWE HOF’er, but to no avail. To even the odds, Beth Phoenix arrived for the backup and speared Ripley. Back in the ring, Finn Balor got distracted by Edge and eventually lost his match.

However, the finish to that one could’ve been done differently, according to Disco Inferno. Talking about the matter on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, he basically tried to get things right. Instead of Edge acting as a friend to Cody, Inferno believes WWE missed a chance to have a singles match between them.

“They could have done a spot where boom boom Edge goes for the Spear and misses and Spears Cody. But think about this though. This the Road to WrestleMania and you want to keep getting good numbers, right? What if you did that and maybe go with Cody and Edge face-to-face and we set up the match for the next week.”

To have an endgame, Edge needs to officially challenge the Judgment Day very soon. Over the last few months, the villainous faction has been pretty obsessed with The Master Manipulator. Plus, with the recent addition of Beth Phoenix in the mix, things have certainly heaten up.

As from a normal observation, WWE is heading towards a mixed tag-team. With the Grit couple on one side, they’re likely going up against Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley at the Elimination Chamber. With Canada being his own motherland, Edge would be welcomed with utmost pride.

Also, there has been a strong rumor that the real end of story will be done at WrestleMania. For that, Edge will reignite his Brood character to go up against The Demon in Finn Balor. Moreover, that bout will be held inside of Hell in a Cell. This match was supposed to happen at Royal Rumble initially, however due to Edge filming Percy Jackson & the Olympians, WWE had to scrap their plans.
