The Stamford-based promotion’s cross-promotional strategies continue to flourish. Recently, the company struck a partnership with Big 12 Conference Football, aiming to expand its audience base. Speaking of which, WWE star Jade Cargill recently presented American rapper Nelly with a custom-made WWE belt after the Big 12’s halftime show.
The Big 12 Conference Football Championship match finally took place on December 2 in Arlington, Texas, at AT&T Stadium. The team of Texas clashed with the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Moreover, WWE superstars were present in the game for PR and promotional purposes. Jade Cargill was one of the many superstars. She had the opportunity to present hip-hop rapper Nelly with a WWE-customized championship belt.
The 49-year-old rapper performed during the halftime show. After this, Big Jade took the time to honor the artist with a custom belt in recognition of his performance. The 31-year-old heaped praise on his splendid performance in the game and wished him a prosperous career ahead. Interestingly, this was Cargill’s first public appearance in a sports-based WWE crossover event.

Big Jade has yet to make her official debut in WWE programming. However, the company is already showcasing faith in the superstar by letting her represent them on a grander stage. Needless to say, the superstar has a promising future in WWE going forward. It will be interesting to see which brand she makes her debut on and who will be her first opponent in WWE.

WWE is unrivaled in terms of branding and promotion. Earlier this year, the Stamford-based promotion collaborated with the NFL to bestow each team with NFL-inspired WWE-customized belts. They subsequently entered into a remarkable partnership with the Big 12 Football Championship. This Saturday, the football game finally took place. Several superstars were in attendance to represent the company.
Apart from Jade Cargill, the Deadman Undertaker and Sheamus were among the many superstars in attendance at AT&T Stadium. The Texas native-team defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys to claim the Big 12 Championship. The Most Outstanding Player of the Game was conferred with a WWE-inspired Big 12 customized belt.
The Phenom conferred the championship belt on the Longhorns’ Quinn Ewers. Despite a three-month absence from WWE television, SmackDown superstar Sheamus was present during the game. Ring announcer Samantha Irwin and The Scottish Warrior, Drew McIntyre, also graced the game with their starry presence.
