Brock Lesnar had already shocked the WWE Universe on Monday when he made his return at the Raw 30 show. The Beast returned to cost Bobby Lashley his match against Austin Theory for the United States championship. This is the second time in four months that Lashley lost the US title match because of Lesnar. To add insult to injury, the former WWE champion made another unexpected appearance on Friday Night SmackDown to make a major announcement.

In a preview for the Royal Rumble match, Austin Theory, The Miz, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods started brawling in the ring. It was at this time that the fans were gifted with the return of Bobby Lashley to SmackDown. This marked his first appearance on the blue brand since 2007. The All Mighty made an example out of the four other superstars, laying them out before grabbing the microphone.

Still frustrated with Brock Lesnar, the two-time WWE champion, vowed to “terrorize” everyone in the Royal Rumble match. However, he was interrupted once again by Lesnar, who made his way through the Texas crowd. Missing the arrival of the Beast Incarnate from behind him, Lashley became the victim of another F-5. As his rival lay flat on the mat, Lesnar grabbed the mic and declared himself for the Royal Rumble match tomorrow.

WrestleMania plans for Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar

Even though the two titans have declared themselves for the Royal Rumble, they are not the current favorites to win the match. It seems that they might collide at the 30-man match, but a title picture seems out of bounds with the odds being favorable to Cody Rhodes, The Rock, and Sami Zayn. The two former WWE champions will most likely face each other at WrestleMania 39 to settle their scores and differences once and for all.

The long-awaited dream match between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar finally came true in 2022. However, the first meeting wasn’t truly a one-on-one encounter between the two former MMA competitors, as they competed in a fatal five-way match at ‘Day 1’. Just a few weeks later, at the Royal Rumble event, the two superstars squared off in a singles match for the first time. The All-Mighty came out as the victor, defeating Brock to start his second WWE title reign.

The Beast Incarnate would return to WWE in October after being absent for months, costing Lashley the US title. This led to a second match between the two at the Crown Jewel PLE in Saudi Arabia, which Brock won in a quick but fast-paced match. Both superstars are tied one-a-piece in one-on-one competitions, leading up to their third match. And this time it could take place on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
